Through self-study I have developed to current level, in other words, I am self-taught.

Study to the Masters

If you live in Veenoord, Drenthe, where Vincent van Gogh once lived and worked, you can't help but study his works.

Since my interest is portraiture, I tried to emulate some of these typical characters he created to my own ability.

However, works by Leonardo da Vinci and others have also received my attention. Both nature study and character study of Leonardo has my interest.

Pastel

The discovery of the existence of a teracotta army in Chinese Xián surprised me with an overwhelming interest to get it on paper.Using soft pastel, I have created some works that I have enjoyed working on, such as this bonzaï.
